The Pasteurized Milk Ordinance (PMO) is a set of standards and regulations for the production and distribution of Grade "A" milk and milk products.
The PMO aims to ensure the safety and quality of milk and milk products by requiring pasteurization or alternative procedures, and by setting limits and requirements for cooling temperatures, bacterial counts, somatic cell counts, antibiotics, coliforms, phosphatase, and sanitation.
The PMO is revised every two years, and the 2023 revision is the latest revision.
